- Decimal months--
- Days lived--
Work out your exact age in years, months and days, total days lived and the countdown to your next birthday.
The calculator takes your birth date and compares it with the reference date (today by default). We apply the Gregorian calendar: first we count the full years, then the remaining months and finally the remaining days.
We also convert the result into decimals. Decimal years use an average year length of 365.2425 days; decimal months add the years multiplied by 12 and divide the remaining days by 30.44. You will also see the total number of days you have lived and when your next birthday will take place.
By entering a different reference date you can check how old you will be at a specific point in time, for instance ahead of a trip or event.
Some tools approximate months as 30 days. We work with calendar months and days, which avoids discrepancies when months have 28, 30 or 31 days.
In non-leap years we use 28 February as the next birthday. The year, month and day breakdown still respects the actual length of each month.
We apply an average year of 365.2425 days and an average month of 30.44 days to express the elapsed time in decimals while keeping it aligned with the real calendar.
