How to add with carrying (column method)

  1. Align the decimal separator. Place the numbers so the decimals line up in the same column. If a decimal is missing, it equals 0.
  2. Start from the right. Add the units column (or the last decimal) including the previous carry.
  3. Write the last digit. From the total sum, write the units digit on the result row.
  4. Carry the rest. The remaining tens, hundreds, etc. are written as a carry above the next column to the left.
  5. Repeat column by column. Continue to the left until you finish. If a carry remains at the end, add it to the beginning of the result.

Enter positive numbers (0 or higher). Comma or dot decimals are allowed.
